Bringing Hope Through Nutrition: TNI Habema Task Force Continues Free Nutritious Food Program in Sugapa

INTAN JAYA - In a mission to nurture the future of Papua, the Infantry Battalion Task Force (Satgas Yonif) Raider 509 Kostrad, under the HABEMA Operations Command, continues its Free Nutritious Food Program (MBG) in Sugapa District, Intan Jaya, Central Papua. Now entering its third week, this initiative is proving to be a beacon of hope for school children, ensuring they receive daily healthy meals to support their growth, development, and learning focus. Monday, February 17, 2025.

Every morning, TNI soldiers personally visit schools, distributing rice, protein-rich side dishes, and fresh fruits to students. Beyond just providing food, they take the time to educate the children on the importance of balanced nutrition, helping them understand how a proper diet contributes to their health and future potential.

Lieutenant Colonel Inf Dian D. Setyadi, Commander of Task Force Yonif 509 Kostrad, expressed his appreciation for the continued success of the program despite challenges in the field.

"We are committed to sustaining this initiative to ensure Papuan children receive nutritious food for a better future. The positive response from the community, teachers, and students fuels our motivation to keep pushing forward, " he stated.

Major General TNI Lucky Avianto, Commander of HABEMA, commended the program’s ongoing efforts, highlighting its role in supporting Papua’s development.
